Debut Saga is a free game that runs in your browser. There's no sign-up, no login, and we never ask for your email. This page explains what the site keeps and why.
Who runs the site
Debut Saga is run by Daniel Fortes. For anything about privacy, write to dafortes@live.com.
What goes on the ranking
When you finish a career, the game sends the server what it needs to check the result and add it to the global ranking:
- the idol name you typed and, if any, your groupmates' names;
- your setup choices: format, position, the idol's home country, agency and pace;
- the decisions you made and how it ended: title, score, awards and points.
All of this is public. It shows up on the ranking and on the career page, which anyone with the link can open. So don't use your real name or any personal info as your idol's name.
The ranking doesn't keep your IP, your email or anything that identifies you.
Usage stats
To know whether people are enjoying the game, we measure two things, always as totals and never per person:
- Visits, through Vercel Web Analytics: pages opened, country, device type, OS, browser and which site the visit came from. It uses no cookies and counts visits anonymously.
- Game events: a career started, finished or abandoned, a share, and an album download. Each record only keeps the language, pace, the idol's origin and format, the final title and score, and the visitor's country. The country is worked out by our host from the IP address, and the IP isn't stored.
What stays on your device
- A cookie called locale, which remembers your language for one year.
- Your browser's local storage, which keeps the career in progress and your last setup so you can pick up where you left off.
- Session storage, which remembers that you closed the language suggestion.
None of this leaves your device or is used to track you. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.
Ads
The site shows Google AdSense ads on the results screen and on public career pages, never during a career.
- Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
- You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ad Settings and read how Google uses this data.
- Visitors from Europe, the UK or Switzerland are asked to accept or refuse ad cookies before any personalized ad is shown.
Services we use
- Vercel hosts the site and measures visits.
- Supabase stores the ranking and the game stats.
These services are based in the United States, so ranking and stats data are processed there. Like any website, our host briefly logs technical connection data, such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure and running.
Your rights
You can ask to see, fix or delete one of your careers from the ranking. Send the career link to dafortes@live.com. Since there's no login, the link is how we know which career is yours.
These rights apply under the GDPR in Europe, Brazil's LGPD and similar laws in other countries.
Changes
If anything changes, like ads being added, this page gets updated and the date at the top changes too.
